About me

Patrick Bont

Sport has always accompanied me, driven me, and determined and influenced many of my decisions. It led me to many places, where I had the chance to follow my passion! I'm a former professional athlete and currently working as handball coach, strength & condtioning coach, and sport scientist.

I completed my bachelor studies in Sport Science and Kinesiology at the university of Salzburg, Austria, while still being active as an athlete myself. Following that, I accomplished my master degree in Sport and Exercise Science.

If you want to know more about my scientifical work, check out one of the articles I published together with some colleagues (ResearchGate).

Besides being an athlete myself I always had a passion to coach athletes and help them to improve their performance and develop themselves. Throughout the years, I worked as a handball coach, strength & conditioning coach in different kind of sports and as a sport instructor for ball games at the university.

Born in Germany, I lived and played handball in Austria and France and just recently moved to the Netherlands. That is also where my home is currently based, but depending on what kind of work you are interested in, we can find out what works the best for you! Besides my work as a sport scientist, I am a strength & conditioning coach, handball coach, have a passion for sports management, enjoy going biking, playing tennis and beach volleyball, and most importantly spending time with my family.
